A permanently installed fuel polisher in a compact, weatherproof stainless steel cabinet that strips particles, sludge and water from stored diesel, keeping standby and bulk fuel ready to run.
Keep stored diesel clean and ready for use with the Fleury Compact Fuel Polisher. This fixed fuel polishing system removes solid contamination, oxidation products and free water from stored fuel, operating continuously or on a schedule to help protect generators and plant from blocked filters and fuel-related downtime.
BMS supplies, installs and maintains fixed fuel polishing systems, helping you select the right unit for your tank, fuel and operating requirements.
Diesel left standing in a tank can deteriorate over time. Dust, rust, condensation and microbial contamination can accumulate, while oxidation produces resin, sludge and varnish. These contaminants can block filters and disrupt equipment when it is needed most.
A fixed diesel fuel polishing system cleans fuel on site as part of routine maintenance, helping reduce the need for emergency treatment.
The Fleury Compact Fuel Polisher is housed in an insulated, weatherproof stainless steel cabinet with an integrated control panel. Designed for wall mounting beside the tank, it provides a practical solution for sites with limited space and installations exposed to outdoor conditions throughout the year.
Suitable applications include:
Fuel passes through a high-capacity cellulose depth filter that captures several types of contamination in a single pass.
The filter insert is rated at 3 µm absolute, capturing 98.7% of solid particles above that size. Its 0.8 µm nominal rating means it captures 50% of particles down to 0.8 µm on each pass.
Each insert can hold approximately:
This filtration helps maintain stored fuel quality while allowing multiple types of contamination to be removed with one filter insert.
The system includes a Y-strainer to protect the pump from large debris, a check valve to prevent reverse flow and manual isolating valves for safe filter changes.
A pressure gauge provides a clear indication of when the filter insert needs replacing. A pressure transmitter and leak detection provide additional monitoring and remote warning of faults.
Although designed primarily for diesel fuel polishing, the filtration also suits a range of other fluids, including hydraulic, lubrication, gear, turbine, compressor, transformer and quenching oils. Other applications include phosphate esters, water-glycol coolants and biodegradable oils.
