Our fuel storage tank recirculation and fuel conditioner kit helps maintain diesel fuel quality during periods of storage. By circulating and conditioning the fuel, it helps reduce the risk of fuel degradation and microbial growth, often called diesel bug, which can block dispensing pump and vehicle filters. It is especially useful for fuel storage tanks left unused for 20 days or more.

Description

Hytek RKA Diesel Fuel Recirculation and Conditioning Kit

Keep stored diesel moving with the UK-made Hytek RKA fuel recirculation kit. Designed for bulk tanks with low fuel turnover, it is particularly suited to backup generator installations and other sites where diesel may remain in storage for long periods. More than 650 units are in use worldwide.

A programmable timer runs the 230V pump at set intervals to circulate fuel through the conditioner. Hytek sets the timer using a completed site questionnaire, with a target of circulating the tank contents 1.5 times every 28 days. Optional filters can remove water and particles as the fuel circulates.

Key features and benefits

Complete mounted assembly: Includes a 230V pump, inlet strainer, fuel conditioner, flow switch, timer, mains junction box and alarm equipment on a wall or tank mounting plate.
Filter blockage alert: A drop below the preset flow rate triggers a warning light, flashing beacon and 90 dB sounder.
Alarm controls: Front-panel buttons let you test the pump and alarms, mute the sounder, or reset an alarm. If the fault remains, the alarm will return on the next pump cycle.
Remote monitoring: Passive pump-running and pump-stop contacts support connection to a building management system (BMS). An external alarm output is rated up to 230V AC, 10A.
Outdoor installation: Weatherproof construction with stainless steel fittings and a brass 250-micron inlet Y-strainer.
